		<description>Ignorance of the law is not a defense, but ignorance itself will often time lessen your criminal liability.  That is, you don't have to know that stealing is against the law, but you do have to know that you're stealing someone else's stuff (rather than think it is yours).  &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;As for penalty, well, unfortunately if you're found guilty of murder in Georgia it's either life imprisonment or death.  And, murder only requires malice..."Malice shall be implied where no considerable provocation appears and where all the circumstances of the killing show an abandoned and malignant heart."</description>

A jury deliberated about seven hours before returning the guilty verdicts.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;They were both sentenced to life in prison, looks like. I'm not sure I'm convinced that life in prison is proportionate to the offense, but whatever.</description>
